The Liberty Legion super group on City of Heroes will be attempting the Imperious Task Force on Friday April 3, meeting at 7pm. Legionnaires wishing to participate will require access to Cimerora by completing the initial Midnight Club missions and gaining access to the Midnight Club in Steel Canyon.

The level range for this task force is 35-50.

Kalicanthus Entertainment has announced that it has opened up a new free-to-play server for its inaugural title, Craft of Gods. According to devs, players needed more flexibility in their payment options so they chose to open a F2P server that will run alongside the subscription server.

Turbine has released a new trailer for Lord of the Rings Online. The trailer shows off much of Middle Earth with a great voice over guaranteed to stir the hearts of MMORPG players everywhere. The trailer encourages players to 'create their own legend' in the game when it goes free to play on September 10th.
Gazillion Entertainment has released the first trailer for the PvP Card Battle System to be employed in the game. The trailer was shown at last weekend's PAX convention in Seattle, Washington. in the Card Battle System, players build their own personalized decks using all of the Marvel characters and their powers in order to take on others.
Runes of Magic players will have a new dungeon to play in when the next update goes live. Called "The Raksha Temple", the dungeon will also allow players to choose a difficulty level when entering. The goal is to calm the awakened gods....and get stuff. Developers have stated that the harder the level, the better the rewards.

Bioware has released the latest trailer from Star Wars: The Old Republic. The video was shown during last weekend's PAX in Seattle, Washington. The video features a boatload of roleplay conversations with NPCs, cinematic interaction and combat with many character archetypes showing off their moxy. Check it out!
Nexon has announced that the next round of beta testing for Vindictus will begin on September 15th. Players who participated in the first round of testing will continue in the second and will be given two beta keys to hand out to friends. Unlike most beta tests, players participating in the closed beta will not see their characters wiped when the game goes live so no progress or items will be lost.
Players get the opportunity to reenact the good book in The Bible Online. The game has entered the beta phase of development and devs are looking for folks to help work out the kinks in the MMORPG-RTS hybrid. In the first 'chapter' of the game, characters work their way through Genesis participating in some of the timeless stories.
MMORPG.com has been given another 500 beta keys for MicroVolts - a toy based online shooter by RockHippo.  The first 1000 we had went pretty quick so grab one while you can!
Red 5 Studios has been working on an unnamed title for several years and have finally revealed the name and type of MMO it will be. The game is an action, team-based shooter called Firefall. Firefall will be a free-to-play title with a microtransaction system in place for players choosing to utilize it. According to devs, the game will "thrust hundreds of players together into a lush, dynamic open world combining intense competitive multiplayer and large-scale cooperative gameplay."
Just out of PAX: ArenaNet has confirmed that it is working on a companion application for Smart Phones and iPad. The app isn't finished yet but long strides have been made. With the app, players can follow their friends on the map, check in-game email, move their own characters around the map and more. Developers have indicated that the project isn't finished and they have even more astonishing information to reveal over time. We'll keep you posted!
